Biocidal product (PB)

  • Any substance or mixture, in the form in which it is delivered to the user, consisting of, containing or generating one or more active substances, which is intended to destroy, repel or render harmless harmful organisms, to prevent their action or to combat them in any other way by an action other than simple physical or mechanical action.

  • Any substance or mixture generated by substances or mixtures which do not themselves come under the first point, intended to be used to destroy, repel or render harmless harmful organisms, to prevent their action or to combat them in any other way by action other than simple physical or mechanical action.

A treated article with a primarily biocidal function is considered a biocidal product.
