4.1 Evacuation drills

The evacuation of a building in the event of fire must be perfectly controlled, in order to save all those present on the premises. In this respect, the owner of the premises has an obligation of result.

You need to be able to evacuate all the occupants of the building concerned quickly and in an orderly fashion. Successful evacuation requires both good evacuation reflexes and a well-tested organization that has been put through its paces during periods when situations can be analyzed in complete serenity.

Evacuation drills are compulsory; however, the application of this regulatory obligation is very uneven, either in terms of the number of drills carried out each year, or in terms of the quality of the drills...
