Risk analysis

Review of information available to identify hazards and estimate risks (ISO/IEC Guide 51).

Danger

Potential source of damage (ISO/IEC Guide 51).

Damage

Physical injury and/or damage to health or property (ISO/IEC Guide 51).

Safe product

The European Directive 2001/95/EC defines a "safe product" as any product which, under normal or reasonably foreseeable conditions of use, including duration and, where applicable, commissioning, installation and maintenance requirements, presents no risk or only low-level risks compatible with the use of the product and considered acceptable with respect to a high level of protection of the health and safety of persons, taking into account, in particular :
