6. Mistakes to avoid

6.1 Don't overlook some classic mistakes

The classic errors frequently found in a "nano" risk assessment concern certain omissions, including those of :

  • consider maintenance and cleaning tasks, which are often sources of significant, uncontrolled exposure;

  • the nanomaterials waste stream, which requires specific identification of "nano" containers.

Finally, don't scatter "nano" workstations all over the site, but locate them in the immediate vicinity so as not to spread the risk.
