3. Electromagnetic field measurement
In order to assess the exposure of workers at their workstations, it is necessary to quantify the fields emitted by machines. The quantities used to describe exposure to electromagnetic fields are defined in table 4 .

3.1 Measuring equipment
Portable measuring devices assess workers' exposure at their workstations, i.e. on machines that emit electromagnetic fields. The interchangeable probes are isotropic: they capture the three spatial components of the field simultaneously. The display shows the resulting value.
