3. Example of a screw compressor application

The equipment used as an example to illustrate the PMO2000 ^® concepts concerns a silent screw compressor as shown in the figure. 6 a . The outer casing is completely lined with soundproof, oil-resistant material, guaranteeing longer service life. The screw compressor operates with a helical screw (figure 6 b ). This centerpiece is made up of two elements that turn towards each other;

• a male rotor ;

• a female rotor.
