3.1 Other potential applications

The PSC access control solutions developed by RATP are modular and can be adapted to all the configurations encountered in the company's assets. Radio technologies offer the dual advantage of eliminating the need for wiring that is often complex to install (in industrial, metro and RER environments), and of coupling different sensors and actuators on the same system. This is the case with the recently developed ILS Radio (reed switches), which, once inserted into the existing radio architecture, can be used to provide anti-intrusion security for the openings in question, or as a non-reclosure alarm.

Once a radio network has been deployed, the potential fields of application become multiple. Experiments are currently underway...
