4. Ionic pumps

Standard definitions :

"Ion pump with getter: a fixation pump in which gas molecules are ionized and then transferred to a pump surface where, by the action of electric fields combined or not with a magnetic field, they are fixed by a getter.

"Sublimation ion pump: a sorber ion pump in which the ionized gas is transferred to a sublimated sorber either continuously or discontinuously.

"Spray ion pump: a sorber ion pump in which ionized gas is transferred to a dispersed sorber by sputtering on a continuous basis".

In fact, despite these three normative definitions, which seek to classify pumps, we only talk about ionic pumps because, in general, manufacturers adopt the three operating modes to define a single product called "spray ionic pump" or simply...
