2. Code rules

2.1 Different positions

The codes are divided into two distinct sections.

The first, common to all circuits, concerns the determination of the thicknesses to be given to the constituent elements of a piping network as a function of the pressure-temperature couple. The procedure is as follows:

  • choice of material (if not imposed) according to conditions of use (temperature, fluid, environment);

  • determining the permissible stress value in service ;

  • determining the thickness of straight elements ;

  • Determining the thickness of curved elements ;

  • determination or verification of bypass...
