6. Conclusion

Pressure equipment regulations, now within the scope of the Environmental Code, are a complex set, to which are added specificities for ICPEs, notably with the impact of hazard studies. Even though the decree of November 20, 2017, by deleting a number of old texts, has simplified the regulatory base.

This article gives only a very partial and simplified view.

The current trend, however, is :

  • take into account professional technical specifications drawn up by professional groups and recognized, after discussion, by decisions of the Bureau de la sécurité des équipements à risques et des réseaux (BSERR);

  • encourage operators to formalize the implementation of analyses of actual or potential failure modes for their equipment, through inspection plans to be validated by authorized...
