5. Nominal operation of a grid, evaluation of losses

5.1 Grid reference point

Depending on the case, this reference incidence is also referred to as nominal. The choice of operating point for the grille must lie within the range of minimum losses from i _A to i _B (figure 28 ), although different authors have made different choices.

We have chosen, as NACA did, the i ₀ point as the one corresponding to the most continuous possible extrados pressure distribution.
