3.1 Definitions

Two important criteria characterize a motor: its power and its efficiency.

• The effective powerP _e is the product of the torque C measured on the motor output shaft, and the angular speed Ω of this shaft :

  with C in N · m, Ω in rad/s and P _e in W.
