3. Conclusion

Optimum turbomachinery efficiency is an imperative for both theoretical and experimental research, and all the more so as these machines are coupled in thermodynamic cycles. To conclude, let's take the example of a gas turbine comprising an adiabatic compressor, a constant-pressure combustor and an adiabatic turbine coupled to the compressor. Figure 21 shows the efficiency of this gas turbine operating between the extreme temperatures of 15°C (upstream compressor) and 1000°C (upstream turbine).
