Biomimicry; biomimicry

An approach aimed at studying natural structures and imitating their functions in order to solve technological problems.

Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF)

3D printing technology that deposits material layer by layer. The materials used are mainly thermoplastic polymer filaments extruded through a nozzle. The platen and/or print head are animated by movements in x, y (within a layer) and z (to add layers one on top of the other).

Eco-conception; ecological design

An approach aimed at designing products that respect the environment and the principles of sustainable development.

Hygromorphic; hygromorph
