3.1 Machine selection and tray preparation (distribution and orientation of parts, monitoring test pieces, etc.)

The choice of machine is determined on the one hand by process and organizational constraints:

  • What machines are present in the workshop (technologies, brands, models) and available (schedule)?

  • What are the technical specifications that the machine must meet?

    • Some contractors require that the machine be qualified for the production of their parts.

    • In order to minimize the risk of contamination between different powders, machines can be dedicated to a specific material or material grade.
