3. Prosthetic and digital dentistry: the state of play
The expansion of CAD/CAM dentistry for prosthetic dentistry, particularly in terms of the development and marketing of new digital technologies and dental bio-materials, is leading to changes in the professions of dentist and dental technician. These changes are beginning to enter the social debate, both among patients and among national and international political bodies.
