5. Conclusion

Metal Binder Jetting is a process used to produce high-value-added parts with dimensions of up to 250 mm. With an annual production capacity ranging from 10,000 to 250,000 parts, it is an asset for high-volume production.

However, mastery of the MBJ process depends on every step of the production chain: printing, curing, powder removal, debinding, and sintering. Often underestimated, printing plays a decisive role: the density of the green parts and the stability of the powder bed determine the kinetics of debinding, dimensional shrinkage during sintering, and more… Curing is also a critical step; insufficient or non-uniform treatment increases the risk of defects related to partial cross-linking of the binder.
