3. Description of equipment

3.1 General architecture and location

The internal instrumentation system described in the following paragraphs applies to N4 units.

The internal instrumentation system consists of two assemblies, the flow measurement assembly and the temperature measurement assembly, which will be presented in the following paragraphs. Each comprises sensors, signal-carrying cables, mechanical elements interfacing with the primary circuit and the vessel, control cabinets and, for the flux assembly, a device for moving and routing the mobile probes.

This equipment is located either in the reactor vessel, in a special room called the instrumentation room in the reactor building near the vessel shaft, or in the computer room near the control room....
