ANDRA

Agence nationale pour la gestion des déchets radioactifs, responsible for the long-term management of radioactive waste produced in France.

ANR

Agence nationale de la recherche, French research funding agency.

AREVA

A French multinational in the energy sector, mainly active in the nuclear business, it has designed the PWRs for France's nuclear power plants and operates the French fuel cycle plants (enrichment, fabrication, reprocessing).

ASTEC (Accident Source Term Evaluation Code )

Software developed jointly by IRSN and GRS, simulating all the phenomena that could occur during a core meltdown accident in a water-cooled nuclear reactor.
