4. Model-based methods

To rough out a problem or obtain an order of magnitude, simpler, approximate methods are available, such as :

  • straight-line attenuation;

  • treatment methods for incomplete environments.

4.1 Straight-line attenuation

The method is based on the assumption of linearity of the response R (P ) as a function of the sources S (Q 0 ), hence :
