3. Waste management

The management of the waste produced, which may be contaminated, must be planned as soon as the samples are received and sorted. The French National Radioactive Waste Management Agency (ANDRA) has published a radioactive waste disposal guide for producers and holders of radioactive waste outside the nuclear power sector (hospitals, universities, research laboratories, industry, etc.). The recommendations in this guide are adapted to the needs of an analysis laboratory called upon in a post-accident situation .
