4. Laying and fixing tiles

  • Laying tiles

    The tiles are laid so that their tenons rest on the upper corner of the battens (see figure 2 ).

    • Interlocking or slip-on tiles can be laid in either straight or crossed joints, although some models can be laid either way.

    • Flat interlocking tiles are always laid in crossed joints, which means that half-tiles are used for the lateral edges, one for each row of tiles, laid at the end of the row.
