3. Ventilated curtain wall

The design is identical to that of the breathable curtain wall, except that in addition to the lower vents, there are also vents at the top, generally on the vertical side to prevent water ingress, or on the upper transom by punctual interruption of the glazing joints.

This technique complies with standard EN 13830 and DTU 33.1, and does not require a fogging test, since natural ventilation makes fogging unlikely.

The disadvantage is the greater risk of dust ingress, since there is air circulation. Glazing must therefore be cleaned more frequently.

The advantage lies in lower temperatures, as hot air is exhausted to the outside by convection.
