2. Outdoor protection system

2.1 SPF exterior components

A protection system comprises various electrically interconnected components:

• one or more atmospheric discharge capture devices;

• Roof conductors that can be used to capture lightning or simply connect a capture device to down conductors;

• down conductors along facades;

• ground connections (see § 5.7).

• additional components for connecting these various elements or providing additional functions.
