1.1 Cosmogony

In today's materialistic, scientistic society, all phenomena are governed by sets of forces, fields of potential and action. They can all be described by physical laws, tables of measurements or frequencies. However, some social behaviors escape this kind of determinism and intrigue us.

Dominated by the natural elements, pre-scientific man deified them in order to conciliate them through prayer, and many ancient civilizations gave the Sun an essential, if not primary, place in their mythology. With the emergence of Greek philosophy and its anthropocentrism, this theological model of a flat Earth in the shape of a disc or table disappeared....
