7. Recommendations, standards or regulations

7.1 Exposure classes in accordance with NF EN 206-1

Standard NF EN 206-1 "Béton – Part 1: Specifications, performance, production and conformity" defines exposure classes for materials according to their environment (see Pour en savoir plus).

  • With regard to reinforcement corrosion, the following broad classes are defined:

    • X0: no risk of corrosion or attack;

    • XC1 to XC4: carbonation-induced corrosion, risk increases from 1 to 4 ;

    • XS1 to XS3: corrosion induced by chlorides in seawater ;

    • XD1 to XD3: Chloride-induced corrosion of non-marine origin;

    • XF1 to XF4:...
