2. Stakeholders in the building process and their respective roles

In this section, we look at the roles of the various parties involved in a construction project.

2.1 Project owner

This is the natural or legal person on whose behalf the work is carried out.

The project owner assumes the following roles:

  • he decides to build and finance the project;

  • it draws up the program;

  • it selects a project manager ;

  • he signs the contracts;

  • it takes out insurance ;

  • he signs off on additional work;

  • he takes delivery of the work;
