8. Expert companies

There are a number of companies to which experts can belong, and this is highly recommended, whether they are legal or insurance experts, but in no case is membership compulsory.

Their general purpose is to :

• support the expert in difficult cases he may encounter in his expert activity, for example by referring him to a colleague or a lawyer;

• enable experts to perfect their skills by organizing, for the most part, conferences, symposia and even training sessions;

• keep experts informed of developments in all areas relating to expertise;

• to promote relations between experts and, more generally ;

• facilitate the expert's career path in a more global sense.
