2. Special provisions for elevators designed to evacuate the physically handicapped
2.1 Elevators accessible, in the event of fire, to people with physical disabilities (AS 4) (modified by the order of June 8, 2017 – article 2)
Elevators used to evacuate disabled people in the event of fire comply with the provisions of articles CO 53 or CO 54. Access to these elevators, on each level, is via a waiting room serving as a refuge.
