3. Basic knowledge of handling hazards

To comply with article L4141-2 of the French Labor Code, the employer must provide the team with safety training, including a section on safe pruning.

These three people - crane operator, shunter and slinger - need to have their respective skills, and to appreciate each other as part of a real team effort, because the quality of this work determines to a large extent the level of safety on the site.

3.1 Common environmental risks

There are several types of risk:

  • collision with a fixed obstacle due to poor guidance or the load entering a prohibited area;

  • contact with a live electrical connection due to failure to follow instructions ;
