4. Current developments in glass

The evolution of glass has benefited from remarkable research programs and technological advances. As a result, this material has become the holder of astonishing properties, which go far beyond the simple function of transparency. Building manufacturers are implementing new processes, bringing to market glazing that could almost be described as revolutionary. Here are two examples of glazing products that are undeniably contributing to the transformation of the home.

4.1 Self-cleaning glass
