A recent study showed that in 2000 the percentage of various lightweight aggregates was distributed as follows, according to the cubage of concrete manufactured:
polystyrene ;
foam concrete ;
expanded clay and shale ;
pumice ;
perlite ;
vermiculite ;
expanded glass.
