5. Lamibois
When the plywood has a majority of layers of grain-to-grain veneer (parallel orientation), the material is called lamibois (or LVL for Laminated Veneer Lumber ) (figure 3 ). Some manufacturers improve the transverse stability of this plywood by arranging one or more plies perpendicular to the axis.
