4. Protecting against interior noise

As with external noise, the spatial organization of adjoining or superimposed rooms should be considered at the design stage, so as to protect those most sensitive to acoustic nuisances that may propagate indoors. For example, avoid placing the bedrooms of a dwelling near an elevator, a meeting room near a noisy technical room, or a hospital room next to technical ducts...
