Cladding

Exterior cladding system for vertical walls, consisting of a skin and a framework for attaching the skin to a structure to be protected.

Allowable stress

Maximum permissible stress limit for verification of a failure criterion in accordance with CB 71.

Additional insulation

In recent years, this insulation has been combined with cladding.

Ventilated airfoil

A ventilated air gap is an air space created between the insulating layer and the inner face of the cladding skin, which communicates with the outside air.
