4. Conclusion

The emergence of heat pumps in the 80s was a major step forward in energy savings, with performance constantly improving, as did power.

From 2023, Hoval will be marketing in France its new reversible air-to-water monobloc heat pump for heating, cooling and hot water production. Designed for outdoor installation, it is available in two models with unit capacities of 53 kW and 85 kW.

Insulation, which was absent in the 50s and 60s, has made it possible to get rid of the thermal wastes that will soon be forbidden to rent. Since the 1980s, wall and attic insulation has enabled significant savings to be made.

Air conditioning with Inverter and reversible heat pumps has improved comfort in both summer and winter, with energy savings here too.
