Gap value

A technique for measuring, as a function of time or temperature, the mass of a sample heated or cooled according to a specific temperature program.

Valence band

Band corresponding to the electrons in the outermost layer; it enables atoms to bind to each other. The maximum energy of the valence band is Ev.

Rendement ; Yield

When it comes to solar panels, the proportion of the sun's energy that is transformed into electricity. The rest is transformed into heat and dissipated into the air.
