6. Conclusion

In France, the cost of poor indoor air quality is estimated at 19 billion euros a year. It is therefore important to take action to improve indoor air quality, whether in homes or in public buildings such as schools.

In 2013, the Ministries of the Environment and Health launched the "Indoor Air Quality Action Plan". This plan provides for short-, medium- and long-term actions to improve air quality in enclosed spaces.

The action plan on indoor air quality is part of the third National Health and Environment Plan.
