3. Value drivers in virtual reality

It is customary to adopt functional definitions of VR: action on location, type of interaction, time. In a scientific simulation that materializes abstractions such as chemical molecules, VR abolishes distance, visually, while preserving the sensation of space and its integrity. Virtual space can be infinite, the virtual terrain shared by as many people as desired. Better still, VR offers an integral experience in which the body is involved, not just through fingers on a keyboard. Last but not least, it plays with time by replaying and modifying scenarios. But it also acts on man's perceptive faculties, stimulating his senses. In short, it is a remarkable tool for rapid prototyping.

Beyond that, VR avoids spatial invasion, and can replace in vivo experiments or simulations. It authorizes and can multiply learning, its pedagogical virtue stemming from its ability...
