More than 95% of applications call for moving-coil loudspeakers (ease of construction and installation, robustness, efficiency and cost).

The choice of other systems depends on the area of use and, above all, the bandwidth involved.

Low and very low frequencies:

• electrostatic (high linearity, low efficiency) ;
