4. Quality control of stereoscopic 3D images

4.1 3D-s image quality control objectives

For optimum visual comfort, it is important to check the quality of 3D-s images throughout the production chain. The settings and positions of the two cameras used to capture the images must comply with certain parameters, which are decisive for quality of experience (QoE) and viewing comfort ( [TE 5 676] – § 2.2). The interdependence between shooting and viewing parameters must also be taken into account.
