2. Anonymization: frequent and a priori confusion
The first work on anonymization can be traced back to the late 1970s; until the arrival of the RGPD, anonymization was of little interest to industrialists and was mainly used in the medical field, to protect data published for clinical research purposes. With the RGPD, anonymization takes on a whole new interest and becomes useful, even necessary, for many companies, and particularly for those whose data exploitation is crucial to the development of services.
