3.1 Definition
A key management infrastructure (abbreviated to PKI) is an organized set of policies, procedures and components providing various types of services for managing the public keys of those involved in dematerialized exchanges. These services include: registration of certificate applications, certification, publication and storage of certificates . The corresponding English term is Public Key Infrastructure (PKI for short).
