3. Insertion matrices

When designing a waveguide, it's important to think about the matrix used to support and insert the fluorophores. The following section describes the different matrices that can be used to create waveguides, whatever the fluorophore selected.

Various families of inorganic or plastic matrices can be used to insert the fluorophores described above.
