For all applications exploiting virtual reality techniques, not just for industry, we need to study their implementation in detail, properly analyzing the sensory-motor, cognitive and functional requirements for the user immersed and (inter)acting in the virtual environment. Too many applications are still developed without careful thought, very often using the latest low-cost headsets, without considering whether a headset is the best visual interface for the application in question.
