8. Conclusion

In recent decades, the insulation business has been neglected: the technical aspects were ignored, and only the financial aspect counted. With today's energy and environmental concerns, equipment insulation techniques are beginning to take their rightful place, particularly with the CEE scheme.

As shown by studies on ecological insulation thicknesses and the new recommendations, thicknesses have been significantly increased, leading to major changes in the design of thermal fluid equipment.
