  • Microstructure

    The most commonly used cast alloys are those with a two-phase alpha + beta structure at room temperature, such as TA6V (figure 8 ).

    Note :

    The alpha structure is hexagonal in shape and gives the material its strength properties. The beta phase, of the centered cubic type, is much more ductile.
