BRIEF Foundry

BAT reference documents called 'BREFs' (for Best available techniques REFerence documents) and "BAT conclusions".

polishing

Surface treatment that gives the part a shine similar to chrome plating.

vibro-abrasion

Machining based on abrasion using materials with very fine granulometry to remove small burrs and sharp angles, and ultimately to render the surface of the part homogeneous and with an excellent appearance.

tribofinition

Mechanical/chemical process involving deburring, bending, smoothing, polishing and degreasing of individually or mass-produced parts.
