3. Sintering and starting inductors
More than the crucible induction furnace, the channel furnace is a closed furnace whose inductor, and more specifically the channel, is impossible to examine. It is also a furnace that operates 24 hours a day, i.e. 8760 hours a year. This makes maintenance operations difficult, as they have to be carried out without stopping the furnace completely.
The following paragraphs propose a method for external risk analysis, on a case-by-case basis, depending on the condition of the inductor and its channel. This assessment is based on thermoelectric control parameters.
Beforehand, the special character of sintering the inductor refractory must be addressed.
