3. Tomography in production
Tomography first appeared on automobile production sites , first in Japan in the mid-80s, then in Europe in the mid-90s, before spreading steadily throughout industry and the OEMs.
The World Congress on Industrial Process Tomography (WCIPT), held every 2 years since 1999, provides an update on industrial advances in this technology. WCIPT is organized by the International Society for Industrial Process Tomography (SIPT).
